Land & Sea Siren

"Shello, FishFriends!"
Merlady Maera is a 200 year old water nymph of the euryhaline variety, meaning she can exist in most bodies of water. Whether it be mountain streams, raging rivers, placed lakes, or gentle seas, Maera enjoys traveling to meet humans of all ages. As a magical creature, she can shape shift into many forms, including that of a human! She has even been known to "puddle hop" as water vapors to ensure her favorite mini humans keep magic in their hearts and kindness on their hands.
In human form, she is a professional actor based out of NJ. She is a Theatre Arts graduate of Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts. She first fell in love with waterway conservation in her own backyard, where a whimsical creek showed her the magic in the mundane. She also spent many summers at the Jersey Shore, developing a true appreciation for marine biology and an imaginative relationship with both freshwater and saltwater spirits. While on land, she spends her time in arts education and community development. She is a theatre arts educator, specializing in theatre classes for people with developmental disabilities. She also manages and designs simulation education curriculum for medical school programs. As both mermaid and human, she enjoys singing, dancing, horseback riding, and fine art photography modeling.
